no alien containment so cannot use eggs or farm fish. limited storage space (can't expand like a base can).
can only bring one vehicle with you (prawn or seamoth not both) destruction of the cyclops results in losing all your collected materials. vulnerable to attack by reapers, electric eels, etc
need a base anyway to recharge power cells unless you have the thermal chargerĮven with the thermal charger you have to wait around and can't go anywhere while they charge. I use it the same way Just Chill does, to collect and transport resources.
